Papuan Want To Stay With Indonesia

Papua as one part of the sovereignty of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) has gone through a referendum process known as PEPERA and the results have been approved through UN resolution No 2504 issued by the UN General Assembly on 19 November 1969.

But until now, this sovereignty has always been disturbed by the interests of a handful of people known as separatists. All movements of resistance from separatist groups increasingly hampered development in Papua. However, most of the people of Papua consciously say that they are an inseparable part of the archipelago, and do not want to be separated from the lap of the Republic of Indonesia.

So if you want to truly liberate Papua, Papua should be free "meaningfully" from the word independence, Papuan independence does not have to merely mean sovereignty and then become an independent state, but Papuan independence can also be interpreted as a Papuan who is able to rise and prosper.

Papuan independence can be interpreted as a Papuan who is able to rise and live well. Papuan independence can be interpreted as Papua free from misery and injustice. Papuan independence can be interpreted as an independent Papua and free from all problems.

So if you see the rapid development of development in Papua and the lives of its people, it is no wonder that Papuans still want to be with Indonesia.

A number of residents from Papua who live in various regions, said they would not separate themselves from the Republic of Indonesia. Therefore, they hope for the support of all parties so that the Earth of Paradise will soon be peaceful again.

Papua Caring Community Alliance when holding a peaceful protest to support the people of Papua as fellow countrymen and citizens on Monday (2/9). "There is not the slightest intention of us (Papuans) separating ourselves from NKRI," said Jimmy Carson from Asmat, Papua.

Jimmy stressed, there is no desire of the people of Papua who want to separate themselves from the Republic of Indonesia. All Papuans, he said, are basically peace-loving. And do not like riots let alone separation.
