After the inauguration, Deputy Minister of PUPR John Wempi Wetipo said, there were three important things that President Jokowi conveyed to him. First, for some infrastructures that have not yet been completed, better supervision is needed. "So that the elaboration of the President's vision and mission related to infrastructure development in Indonesia can be completed and can be continued with this new program in the 2019-2024 period," said Deputy Minister John.
    .
In addition, according to Wamen John, his appointment as Deputy from Minister Basuki was related to efforts to spur development growth in Eastern Indonesia, such as in Maluku, North Maluku, Papua, West Papua, East Nusa Tenggara and West Nusa Tenggara.
    .
"Third, Mr. President advised me to represent the people of Papua, in order to be able to give its own color in the Ministry of PUPR, and to join hands together to build a better Indonesia in terms of infrastructure. The President requested that the infrastructure built can be felt by the community, "he said.
    .
Deputy Minister John expressed his gratitude to President Jokowi for the trust given to him as a native of Papua to become Deputy Minister of PUPR. "I hope that this mandate can be carried out by Mr. President and I will be held accountable as well as possible," said Wamen John.
