    Biak Numfor Tax Revenue Exceeds Target

    The Primary Tax Service Office (KPP) of Biak Regency, Papua, has reached Rp508.6 billion or around 103.49 percent of the Rp491.5 billion target mandated by the Papua and Maluku Directorate General of Tax (DGT) until 27 December 2019.

    "This achievement cannot be separated from the good cooperation and synergy between all tax officers in the Biak KPP (including Nabire KP2KP and Serui KP2KP), the taxpayers, the Regional Government, and other agencies / parties," said the Head of the Biak Tax Office Kadek Satria Authority in Biak, Papua, Tuesday.

    In addition to achieving levels that exceeded this target, KPP Biak also managed to record a revenue growth performance of 22.02 percent, compared to the realization of revenue in 2018.

    Pratama Biak KPP is a vertical unit of the Directorate General of Tax (DGT) under the Regional Office of the Papua and Maluku DGT which has a work area of ​​six districts namely Biak Numfor, Supiori, Kep. Yapen, Waropen, Nabire, and Dogiyai.

    The Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes of Papua and Maluku Arridel Mindra expressed his appreciation for the performance of KPP Pratama Biak in managing tax revenue for the 2019 fiscal year.

    "This 2019 is an extraordinary achievement for KPP Pratama Biak after seven years before it could not reach the target it was charged. I really appreciate this achievement," he said.

    Arridel also expressed his gratitude to the Biak KPP Taxpayers for their participation in paying taxes and being involved in the development process.

    He warned, the challenges in 2020 will be different so that smart work is needed and good mutual cooperation between all elements of the Tax Office, Taxpayers, Local Government and other related parties.

    Papua and Maluku DGT Regional Offices as of December 27, 2019 have collected tax revenue of IDR 10.6 trillion or reached 92.65 percent of the mandated target of IDR 11.4 trillion and ranks fifth out of 34 Regional Offices throughout Indonesia.
